Faber, who took the helm of Logitech two years ago amidst a post-pandemic slump in demand as workers returned to offices, highlighted the company's strategic pricing decisions. Logitech was among the first to increase prices following the imposition of U.S. tariffs. However, the company is now signaling an end to further price adjustments. Faber attributes these gains to the establishment of a localized team adept at tailoring products to regional consumer preferences. She emphasizes the critical importance of succeeding in China, stating, "If you can't compete in China, you're doomed."

AI Integration Over Dedicated Devices: A Pragmatic Philosophy

Despite the pervasive buzz surrounding artificial intelligence, Logitech's leadership questions the necessity of creating exclusive "AI devices." Instead, the company is focusing on the practical application of AI within its established product ecosystem. Examples include webcams that automatically frame active speakers or MX series mice equipped with dedicated buttons to invoke AI assistants like ChatGPT or Copilot. Faber candidly remarked on the shortcomings of recent AI hardware ventures, citing the lukewarm reception and weak sales of devices such as the Humane AI Pin and Rabbit R1. "What's currently in the AI market often feels like a solution searching for a problem that doesn't exist," she observed, suggesting that these devices may be premature or misaligned with genuine user demands.

Commitment to R&D and Sustainable Innovation

Logitech maintains a robust pace of innovation, launching between 35 to 40 new products annually and investing approximately 6% of its revenue in research and development – a significant commitment within the industry. The company is not afraid to experiment, even when initial concepts face user skepticism. Following criticism of its "eternal mouse" concept, which proposed a perpetually upgradable device, Logitech clarified its stance, assuring consumers that it has no plans for subscriptions and is instead exploring ways to enhance device durability and environmental sustainability. Logitech's strategic direction prioritizes prudent innovation, focusing on tangible user benefits in daily workflows rather than chasing fleeting trends in form factors.
